Getting Started​

How do I order a drink for a friend?

It’s quick and easy:

​

  • ​When a HADOM user checks in at a partner venue, their friends (who also use the app) are notified.

  • You’ll see the notification and can choose to buy them a menu item (a drink, dessert, or even dinner).

  • Your friend accepts and picks what they’d like from the menu.

  • You confirm, pay securely in the app, and the venue receives the order instantly.

 

Cheers! You just bought for a friend—no matter where you are in the world!

 

How do I find a HADOM partner venue?

 

The app shows participating venues near you. You can also search by name or location.

How do I get started?​

​

  • Download the HADOM app from the App Store. (Currently iOS only — Android coming soon!)

  • Follow the in-app setup prompts.

  • Add a payment method.

  • That’s it — you’re ready to send or receive.

Privacy & Location​

​

Does HADOM track me?

No. HADOM only uses your location if you choose to check in at a venue. This is voluntary and shared only with friends you’ve connected with in the app. We never track you in the background or share your data with strangers.

 

Billing, Payments & Refunds

How does payment work?

​

  • ​You’ll see a full order breakdown before checkout.

  • Payments go directly through the venue’s POS system — HADOM never holds customer funds.

  • You’ll get a confirmation as soon as the order is accepted.

 

Do you charge a service fee?

Yes — $1.99 per order. This helps keep HADOM running.

  • You can set a price limit on what your friend can redeem.

  • Tips for the bartender or server are included automatically.

 

Can I get a refund if my friend doesn’t want the order?

Yes. Venues always have the right to decline an order (e.g., if an item is unavailable or age restrictions apply). If declined, you are not charged.

 

Why am I getting a credit card error?

Check the following:

  • Your billing info (especially ZIP code) matches your bank’s records.

  • Your card is active and has funds.

  • Try another card or payment method (PayPal/Venmo if supported).

Still stuck? Contact your bank — HADOM can’t override their restrictions.

 

Alcohol & Age Restrictions

​

Can minors use HADOM?

No. Users must be 21 or older to purchase or redeem alcoholic drinks.​

  • Venues verify ID at the point of service, just like any in-person order.

  • Non-alcoholic items (desserts, food, coffee, etc.) can be purchased for anyone of legal age to consume them.​
